The temporary shelter of homeless people is an institution providing transition between the state of being a homeless and civil life. It contributes to the social integration of service takers by offering them its services and programmes.

It provides a shelter for those homeless people who are able to manage themselves by using the accomodation

Offering working opportunities on the basis of the working opportunities offered by the labour center and those available in the press

 

Upon the request of the service taker, the institution provides a postal address. When a package arrives, the social worker makes sure about the taking of the package by the way of postal register.

Upon the request of the service taker, the social worker on duty organises legal-psichological assistance and provides life management assistance for the service taker.

 

Upon the request of the service taker, the institution provides social and other information.Information service can take place orally and in written.

 

 

o   In case of having an illness,or if hospital treatment is needed,the service taker can ask for placement in the ill people’s room

 

o   Placement in the ill people’s room can be taken upon the proposal of the doctor of the institution, until the time defined in the proposal.

 

 

 

o   If it is necessary, the doctor of the institution takes the steps that are necessary for the patient to be transferred into the hospital.

 

 

The service taker who does not (temporarily) have any income, can ask for a contribution in cash and in kind. The condition of its awarding is cooperation with the social worker. In kind contribution can be especially: support for buying one’s medicine, cafeteria tickets, providing food, financial support for the procurement of documents. In all cases, where financial contribution can be substituted by in kind contribution, in kind contribution should be given.

 

 

 

 

Upon the request of the service taker,

and in order to get any any entitlement,the entitled person can ask for the help of a social worker. The condition of helping: a cooperation contract has to be stipulated with the social worker in charge of administration. In the framework of administration, the institution procures the documents that are necessary, prepares certifications and copies. Service providing takes place in the daytime warmer for all homeless people.

 

 

 

Leisure programmes especially:

 

watching TV

listening to the radio, reading the newspaper

book borrowing, preparation for the holidays

o   In the framework of organising leisure programmes, the social worker prepares a programme plan in which she lays down the tools that are necessary for the programme.

 

Those service takers that wish to make a change about their current situation, take part in a rehabilitation programme. In the framework of the rehabilitation program, the social worker and the service taker stipulate a contract for rehabilitation activity.

 

o      Those people whose institutional status is terminated can ask for a aftercare

o   In order to be entitled for aftercare, the person concerned should stipulate an agreement with the social worker. Follow-up care can take place paralelly, with or without the institutional status.

·   Have a valid certification from the dispensary and has to appear at the doctor of the institution for a medical check-up

·                                 Must get to know with the order of the house and has to accept it, has to declare about what a length of period he/she wishes to take the service

·                       In case of a staying period exceeding 6 month, the homeless person has to stipulate a contract

·         And has to declare about his/her income

·               Who are able to live on their own

·               and who do not have/suffer from an infectious illness.
